Deciding what to install on a Mac in Botswana
On a Mac handed out by an employer the decision is often made for you. Adding software to a managed laptop needs an administrator password and, as a rule, somebody's approval, and the browser route sidesteps both: it opens from the Personal Area, writes nothing to the disk, and leaves the machine as it was found once the tab is closed.
A personal Mac points the other way. A laptop therefore meets the busiest hours from two different places, which is the argument for keeping the account reachable without a particular machine.
